99% of our customers only pay the Advanced Payment and the Monthly Fee.  The 1% that are charged extra have violated a few basic common sense principles:

  1. A customer’s electronic payment was returned.
  2. A customer-reported service call is determined to be a non-machine issue 
  3. A customer mistreats or damages the equipment.

There are other situations where a customer may contract with Easy Ice to provide additional services such as relocation of equipment, installation of a drain-pump for non-standard drain environments, etc, but those additional fees are identified in advance of the performance of the work.

Finally, it is important to understand that 98%+ of all ice machines are placed in to standard environments. This means facilities with temperature and ventilation control, minimal airborne particles, and moderate water quality.  For machines that are operated in non-standard environments, a premium is added to the standard Monthly Fee and communicated as early in the business relationship as possible.

Extra ice (Peak Ice) for a special event or party is extra.  We provide complimentary bagged ice if the situation calls for Breakdown Ice.  Breakdown Ice is replacement ice if the ice machine needs repair and we can’t fix it quickly.  Peak Ice is bagged ice when you need more than your ice maker produces for a specific event.

Peak Ice is not complimentary, but it’s sure convenient!

The special circumstances listed above are when our customers receive additional charges.  And these conditions are rare.
