How are Preventive Maintenance Service Calls Handled?

Easy Ice tracks and proactively schedules all preventive maintenance so you don’t have to.  Easy Ice maintains a full service history of all equipment.  If you need access to that information to share with your health inspector, simply contact customerservice@easyice.com and we will send you a copy.  These are just a few of the benefits that come with an Easy Ice Subscription.

A typical ice maker cleaning takes about 2 hours.  Standard environments require two full preventive maintenance cleanings per year.  More demanding ice machines environments may require longer or more frequent cleanings, which would increase the monthly service fee.   Your service technician will work with you to ensure the equipment is on the proper Preventive Maintenance schedule.

Here is how it works:

• An Easy Ice technician will call to schedule the PM service call.  At that time the technician will remind you of any actions you need to take in order to prepare for the ice machine preventive maintenance.
• The technician will inspect the equipment and notify the responsible party if the machine shows any signs of equipment misuse or if the condition of the machine indicates a more demanding environment than expected.
• Once the equipment condition is verified, the technician will complete the Preventive Maintenance service according to the Easy Ice PM Service Description, making note of any unexpected or unusual conditions.
• Once the PM service is completed, the technician will review the completed work with the customer and request a completion signature.

Regular, thorough cleanings are critical to maintaining ice machine reliability and to keeping your electric costs as low as possible, so we appreciate your flexibility in working with our technicians to schedule the cleaning.
