Senior IT Technician in Marquette, MI

Easy Ice continues to grow and seeks a bright, highly motivated Sr. IT Technician to join their team in Marquette, MI. The Sr IT Technician role works to provide software, hardware, and related computer component support and maintenance with the goal of optimal computer systems operation, including end-user support and education. This position will provide support and assistance with day-to-day issues, along with working with our technology vendors to accomplish various tasks.

What you need to be Successful at Easy Ice:

  • Provide excellent first and second level support for technology work to staff on computer & technical issues
  • Follow-up with staff, provide feedback and see problems through to resolution
  • Assist with set-up of employee workstations (on-boarding, off-boarding), as necessary, and within Easy Ice protocol, software, and settings
  • Assist with managing server file storage, Active Directory, and permissions for end-users
  • Become familiar with various company platforms and assist with end-user training
  • Update computer workstation software necessary
  • Ensure proper recording, documentation, and closure of repair tickets
  • Run computer cable drops and receptacles for additional computers, equipment, etc. following safe protocol and working with maintenance and vendors as needed
  • Format machines and re-install software as needed
  • Repair and troubleshoot workstations and printers working with vendors as necessary

Position Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in technology or computer science, preferred
  • Must have knowledge of and experience in Active Directory
  • Must have working knowledge of MS Office programs and Office 365 proficiency
  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems
  • Must be familiar with basic network topology
  • Must be able to build a personal computer and troubleshoot hardware

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 – $19.00 per hour
