For customers with our standard subscription, the simple answer is call us at 866-327-9423 (866-easyice), give us 30 days notice, and we’ll come to pick up our ice machine.  That’s our standard cancellation policy — Easy!  If you have an ice machine that is not on our core list, please refer to your subscription agreement for the cancellation policy.

Almost all of our cancellations are a result of the customer going out of business.  No business expects this outcome, but we understand that it does happen.  We very much appreciate the 99% of our customers that work with us to make the best of a bad situation.  With that in mind, here are a few thoughts on how we’ve found it to work best:

  1. Please do your best to adhere the agreed upon 30-day notification period.  Unfortunately we have customers who don’t tell us at all (i.e. we find out when the payment fails) or they only give us 24 hours notice.  Both situations are a major hassle, but is particularly difficult to track down your landlord to retrieve our machine. There really is no upside to not telling us about it, so please do not wait until the last minute to let us know about your cancellation.
  2. Please remember that we’ve entrusted our $3500+ ice machine to you…and while you are done with it, we are not.  We expect regular wear and tear, but you are financially liable for any repairs to damaged equipment.
  3. You might laugh at this one, but please DO NOT SELL our machine to anyone.  We’ve been in the uncomfortable position of having to explain to a new restaurant owner that the shiny piece of ice making equipment that they “bought” from the previous owner wasn’t the former owner’s to sell.
