IT System Administrator in Scottsdale, AZ

Easy Ice continues to grow and seeks a bright, highly motivated System Administrator to join their team in Scottsdale, AZ. The System Administrator role works hand in hand with the IT Manager to administer a wide variety of user platforms and IT infrastructure both locally and remotely. This position will primarily provide maintenance and support for new and existing systems, assist with the rollout of new platforms, act as an escalation point for IT Technicians, and provide basic break-fix support when needed.

What you need to be Successful at Easy Ice:

  • Provide excellent first and second level support for technology work to staff on computer & technical issues
  • Assist with first level support overflow including user onboarding/offboarding, machine provisioning, and general break-fixes.
  • Assist with administration and management of all IT related platforms
  • Assist with implementation and rollouts of new platforms, software, and hardware
  • Assist with purchasing IT related hardware, maintaining stock levels, and maintaining accurate inventory records
  • Assist with server maintenance, updates, and migrations
  • Assist with reworking current user access controls with focus on a RBAC based permission schema
  • Assist with identifying and solving security/network related issues
  • Assist with configuration and deployment of all new tools such as a machine imaging solution, backup solution, password management system, SSO, system health monitors, and security systems

Position Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in technology or computer science, preferred

Experience: 6+ years of related experience in a business environment, preferred


  • Basic TCP/IP networking and common services/protocols, routing/switching concepts, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and VOIP
  • Microsoft Windows client and server platforms and services including Server 2012/2016/2019, Windows 10, Active Directory, and Group Policy
  • Basic knowledge of Apple and Google operating systems (mobile and desktop)
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities for both systems and networking including log output understanding and interpreting/analyzing end user descriptions of problems
  • Microsoft Office 365 suite and Office 365 administrative tools
  • Microsoft Azure and components such as virtual servers, storage containers, and azure active directory.
  • Ability to plan, develop, and coordinate multiple projects
  • Ability to install, configure, and maintain person computers, networks, and/or related hardware and software
  • Powershell and command line scripting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
