The KM-1340 crescent ice maker can produce 1325 lbs of ice a day. Under standard operating temperatures, this unit can produce up to 48 lbs of ice an hour. On bins 60″ and larger, you can mount two units side-by-side to double your ice production to over 2,300 lbs! This model comes complete with Hoshizaki’s patented KM evaporator design that produces ice cubes individually. This means cubes stay separate and won’t clump together when hand scooped out of a bin. KM models produce patented crescent style ice. Crescent ice is melts slowly and remains solid in drinks, holding their flavor. KM evaporators form cubes individually rather than in a sheet, which helps keep ice from sticking together in the bin. Liquids also flow over the cube, reducing splashes and spills that waste product. Unlike square cubes that leave extra space in the glass, crescent ice fills glasses making drinks appear fuller. Studies show crescent cubes can save customers up to 15 percent on your drink yield.
