The KM-1900 crescent ice maker is Hoshizaki’s answer to high capacity production that fits on a standard 27 3/8-inch bin depth. With typical output in the 1650 pounds per day, up to a max of 1850, the KM-1900 can keep up with even the thirstiest crowds. Its stackable design enables nearly 2 tons of ice making capacity in a 2′ x 4′ footprint…that’s a lot of ice. Given the significant heat output, it is critical to install the KM-1900S in a room that has above average circulation and excellent temperature control. All KM models produce Hoshizaki’s patented crescent ice, which is some of the clearest and slowest melting ice in the industry. Their evaporator design forms cubes individually, preventing them from sticking together in the bin. Crescent cubes allow liquids to cascade, eliminating splash backs that cost money and waste product. Crescent ice fills glasses better than conventional square cubes. Drinks stand taller in a glass, which keeps customers happy and prevents overpours. Studies show crescent cubes can save up to 15 percent on your drink yield.
