Water-Cooled Ice Machines:

Water-Cooled ice makers have the following additional requirements:

  1. Your city, state, or municipality must allow the use of water-cooled ice machines.
  2. You must be a multi-location company with a 5-year operating history.
  3. If your business qualifies, you will be required to sign a 3-year subscription agreement that doesn’t allow easy upgrades like our standard air-cooled ice machines do.
  4. You acknowledge that you understand the effect on your water bill.

Water-cooled machines are typically used in environments that have poor air circulation and no access to externally mounted remote condensers.  They are also more common in buildings with re-circulating water systems.

Given the increasing restrictions placed on the usage of Hoshizaki water cooled ice machine or Manitowoc water cooled ice machine, Easy Ice reserves the right to modify our qualification criteria to meet the ever-changing market for water-cooled ice machines.

Remote Condenser Ice Machines:

Remote Condenser ice makers are more complicated to install and remove, so there are a number of additional requirements associated with these units:

  1. You must be a multi-location company with a 5-year operating history.
  2. If your business qualifies, you will be required to sign a 3-year subscription agreement.
  3. You will be charged an installation fee, which will be determined prior to installation.  This fee may include equipment rental depending upon the difficulty of the work required on the roof.
  4. You may be required to contact your roofing contractor to penetrate the roof to ensure continuation of roof warranty coverage.

Remote condenser ice machines are typically used in hot environments with poor air circulation that have access to an external location for remote condenser mounting.  99% of all remotely mounted condensers are placed on roofs, which significantly increases the cost of the installation.
